Have started reading 'The Right Stuff' by Tom Wolfe all about the mentality of fighter pilots and astronauts etc as they face down death every day and it is absolutely NUTS so far.

Sorry if this is insensitive but I keep thinking about that one time I thought to myself hey maybe I'm "on the spectrum" that would explain some things so I did an online test and it basically said I was as far from having autism as you can possibly get lol

Finished this. It was great. I'm a sucker for these kinds of maths/science breakthrough history stories. 33 / 52 books this year!

Finished reading 'Solaris' this morning over coffee. Took my time with it this (3rd) time around. So brilliant. So insightful. So captivating. Book 32 / 52 this year.

We just watched Walt Disney's Ralph Breaks the Internet and it was INCREDIBLE, maybe even better than Wreck-It Ralph which we watched the other week. Why did no one tell me they were such good movies? I just assumed they'd be thoroughly mediocre. Wild Saturday am I right?

Parenthood is just a ponzi scheme to sell copious amounts of strawberries and blueberries

Taking Vada to a kids concert at the Triffid. Grinspoon and Magic Dirt are playing 🤩

Today's opinion is Typescript in modern Javascript is indistinguishable from Brainfuck. I'm trying to fix broken types in someone else's nested arrow HOCs and I'm about to walk into the sea.

I've started reading 'The Mothman Prophecies' by John Keel. Only 2 chapters in and I can already tell this is going to be one of my favourite books ever. 🛸👻

Had some good falafel at Wrapture Cafe today in West End

We watched The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) the other night and there were so many little details changed and added and even entirely new characters who weren't in the book. Usually it's the other way around completely. What an amazing work of cinematic art!

Although I'm not 100% sure I didn't have some other stuff on there that won't be so easily replaced. Currently running a data recovery scan with 'Recuva' so we will see if that finds anything …

I can't believe I just formatted my 2TB hard drive thinking it was a 2GB USB drive I was trying to make bootable. Luckily I think it was mostly just shows and movies on there which I can replace 🤦

Am currently reading "Fermat's last theorem: The story of a riddle that confounded the world's greatest minds for 358 years" and it's fascinating so far.

More like Splendour in the Mud am I right (yes I'm the first person to ever think of this)
